Pop Up Bucket Game - Number version

Pop Up Bucket Game - Number version

Two teams of children competing in a fun competition game
Using two sets of brightly coloured pop up buckets with large numbers. They compete to answer a series of number questions from a sheet supplied. The first team to correctly arrange the numbers in the right order gets a point. All points are added after each question to keep track of score. Winning team being the team with the most answers correct at the end of game. However there is a trick question at the end.

There is lots of fun as the teams shuffle backwards and forwards trying to get the answers right with the encouragement from the audience.

The correct number must be in the right order facing the audience. Bucket sets come in various colours. Each one of the numbered mini pop up buckets is approximately 170mm high when open so ideal for children.

Please note these buckets are small and slightly bigger than the average seaside bucket, not giant buckets like the pop up laundry baskets that are available as some magicians first thought. Actual measurements below.

Pop up bucket game number questions

Pop up bucket game number questions

Sample question

What is James Bond agent number ? ...... The teams have to quickly find 007 and put the numbers in the correct order.

Although a set of questions have been provided, you can make up any new sets of questions as long as the numbers in the answer are possible with the buckets supplied.

Bucket game comes with two different coloured sets of four buckets, approximately 170mm high when open, a question sheet with lots of fun number questions and a cloth storage bag to pack set away and keep safe. The game looks very impressive and colourful on stage but best of all, takes hardly any space up as it packs flat for transport for easy storage. We have had many great comments on the bucket game, see just a few from professional magicians at the bottom of the page.

Other ideas

Here are some other ideas for the Pop Up Bucket Game recommended by entertainers.

Basically team bingo for younger children. The idea is to get all the buckets stacked and call bingo as numbers are called out. A number version of North, south, east, west (the popular scout game). There are lots of variations on how this can be done, from one bucket to using them all.

A simple throwing balls in the buckets for points, or throwing the ball in the corresponding bucket to the number that is called. You can buy those plastic ball pool balls for about a fiver at superstores for loads. Also numbered buckets could be used in a large mentalist effect. You could have a number created, have them pick a bucket. inside it, a large folded sheet of paper. On it is a number. It’s wrong, get them to chose another, that’s also wrong, as is the 3rd, and 4th. You discover that on the back of each paper, is a word.

Turn, The, Buckets, & Around... you then turn the buckets around, showing the numbers on the buckets, match the number generated.

Comments from buyers

Well what can I say the game arrived at 7.30 am today. We have already played it! My daughters (14 & 17) took on two friends who were staying with us. They had so much fun and some curious answers.

The game is simple but so much fun after I finished the questions they then started using the buckets in the same was as the number game is played on countdown (they thought of a number and then tried to make that number from the buckets) My wife is a teacher and is going to borrow them for a session with her children who have difficulties with numbers. All this
before 9.00 on a Saturday morning. Fantastic. As always the quality is brilliant. Keep up the good work. Many Thanks

Hi Andy & Sue.
Thanks very much for the speedy service - my Buckets game arrived safe and sound this morning! It's another winner as it is visual (despite being pack flat!) as well as physically and intellectually challenging to kids! I'm looking forward to adding it to the games section of my Magic Party! Take care and looking forward to continual business.
Warmest regards
Bernard Mariano (Hong Kong)

Bought Razamatazz Magic's bucket game at the British Ring Convention and used it in a show today for the first time. Anyone who knows me knows that I'm not very into games but I have to say I was very impressed by the reaction it got from both the children and the parents. I'll definitely be adding this to my longer shows in future

Hi Andy and Sue,
Just thought I'd drop you a quick line and let you know that I used the bucket game for the first time yesterday and it went down well. On the whole it was a great game keeping the children watching the teams entertained, as well as the children holding the buckets. I noticed that the children liked watching the buckets spring open, so i think that this is also something I'll have to incorporate into the show somehow. Glad i got the bucket game when I did! Many thanks again. Yours Magically
